John Shapter was born in Shropshire in 1955, and has been creating art and writing poetry for most of his life.

Some highlights include:
Public Works - `Hard Verse` City Council, Coventry 1986. Poetry cut into limestone slabs and placed in the floor of a shopping mall.
In print - `Spring Sunshine`, book published 1988, and various magazines before and since.
