materials & processes

I don’t appreciate being constrained by the conventions surrounding the use of particular materials or processes. Assumptions are tested rather than accepted at face value – and interesting combinations of materials and processes result:

fire and textile,
drawing and thread,
clay and sea.

My concern is to use the most pertinent material or process in my artistic expression – and I am often surprised and delighted – even amazed – at the end result of the making process and the journey that the work and I have been through together.
