My original training in literature and philosophy emphasised the importance of language as a tool for expressing intellectual concepts. I realise how limited this approach can be when I immerse myself in the world of visual and plastic art!

For me, art is about seeking to articulate the otherwise inexpressible: I explore places where feeling, intuition and instinct jostle with ideas, logic and rationality.
