[ tullimentan 2005 ]
In early 2005 Laura was commissioned by the Pier Arts Centre, in Stromness, Orkney, to produce a piece of artwork for their display at Tullimentan 2005: An Orkney Arts Showcase.

Tullimentan 2005 was the first event of its kind in Orkney and was organised by the Orkney Arts Forum, supported by Orkney Islands Council. Taking place on the 17th and 18th of February 2005 at the St. Magnus Centre in Kirkwall, Tullimentan enabled those involved in the arts in Orkney to publicise their activities, enrol new supporters and meet other members of the arts community - all in the context of a large and informal get-together.
The Pier Arts Centre houses a remarkable collection of 20th Century British art. The collection charts the development of modern art in Britain and includes key works by Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson and Naum Gabo among others. The Gallery also presents a changing programme of local, national and international exhibitions and events.
Laura's piece shared space on the Pier Arts Centre's display at Tullimentan, alongside work by local artist Colin Kirkpatrick and the Stromness collaborative Christil Trumpet (Matilda Tumim and Christopher Prendergast).
