In 1989, after studying for a Foundation in Art & Design at Hastings College of Arts & Technology, I went on to the BA Fine Art course at Falmouth School of Art & Design (FSAD), in Falmouth, Cornwall.

Falmouth is located in the most south westerly region of the UK and is within an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is flanked by the Fal Estuary and the castles of St Mawes and Pendennis.

I met my partner Clare Gee at Falmouth School of Art & Design - who was also a student in the same year on the BA Fine Art course.

We both graduated in 1992 with BA (Hons) Fine Art degrees and moved to Hartlepool in the North East of England.

Falmouth School of Art & Design (FSAD)

The art school in Falmouth - now University College Falmouth (for a time it was also Falmouth College of Arts) - is situated in Woodlane, up the hill from the town centre. It has two campuses: Woodlane in Falmouth and Tremough in Penryn. Now the Woodlane campus is where Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration and Photography have their studios - alongside History of Modern Art & Design and Creative Advertising, Illustration, Authorial Practice and Interactive Art & Design and 20th Century Art & Design.
