The Giro Playboy
"The Giro Playboy recounts the (mis)adventures of a delusional drifter and his wanderings from the north-east of London (where the streets are paved with gold) and on to Brighton and the badlands of Essex. Along the way he falls in love, drinks a lot of beer, eats too many sweets, ponders the meaning of life on the dole and gets admitted to hospital for a painful condition - all the time measuring his life in cigarettes.

"An utterly charming miniature picaresque and a portrait of a life blissfully unmoored, The Giro Playboy is a twenty-first century beat classic in the making."
Faber & Faber

The Giro Playboy is my first book, and after I serialised and self published it in pamphlet form, and then reissued these pamphlets in a limited edition boxed set (which happened to be a stencilled pizza box), Faber and Faber released it in March 2006.

Shorty Loves Wing Wong
This short book is a kind of prequel to the Giro Playboy, an adolescent coming of age story set in my home town. It features illustrations by Jim Medway, who specialises in incredibly well observed drawings of chavs with cats' heads!

The book is already available as a highly collectible limited edition artist's book, published by To Hell with Publishing/Paul Stolper, and is available from To Hell with Publishing.

Faber are set to release a different version for Valentine’s Day 2007.
