Raving about Modern Times: encore
Thanks to Martin Cowan and Mike Ollier:
* Martin Cowan:
“While it's great to see our man being so well received (where were these guys in the late 80s/early 90s?), I would have to take issue with Andy Gill's comment "This is the first time in 40 years that Dylan has made three great albums in a row".
“Surely, "Bringing It... ", "Highway 61" and "Blonde on Blonde" would qualify (ok, so the first two came out 41 years ago) and what about "Planet Waves", "Blood on the tracks", and "Desire". “As you say, roll on Monday!”
* Mike Ollier:
“A 4-star review from The Grauniad this morning, under the banner "Dylan Releases new album. Grown men lose all rationality." “Which just about sums it up!” http://arts.guardian.co.uk/critic/review/0,,1857351,00.html
