Modern Times - XM Radio tie-ins, bonus CD and special preview

Thanks to Lawrence Kirsch in Montreal for news of two exciting XM Radio tie-ins with Modern Times:

“XM has partnered with ‘select’ retailers (they ‘selected’ only Circuit City for an actual mention in the press release) to offer a bonus CD with the Modern Times album, comprising the baseball songs episode of Dylan's XM radio series, Theme Time Radio Hour.

“This consists mostly of other artists but does include an a cappella Dylan performance of Take Me Out to the Ball Game (which I for one would like to compare back to back with a Harry Caray performance of same -- or maybe the legendary Ozzy Osbourne version at a Cubs game a few years back).

“And fans who want a day's jump on the rest of the world (and have forked out for XM satellite radio) can hear Bob Dylan's new Modern Times album on XM starting at midnight Aug. 28 (with repeats through the day).”
