Dylan bored on 1966 Judas! tour?

Thanks to Bernard McGuinn:

“According to Mickey Jones, drummer on the 1966 ‘Judas!’ tour, Dylan was ‘pretty much bored with the first half of the night… ‘.

“Well, maybe that's what Dylan said, but it's not what I hear when I listen to any of the officially released solo performances from ‘66, let alone the bootlegs.

“No-one, not even the great Bob Dylan, could have faked it like that. I love the electric performances, and I cherish the solo ones as well.

“If he was bored, why would he go to the trouble of doing it? He could have done an all-electric show easily - some of the tunes performed solo were actually off electric albums - and would have probably faced less hassle than he did by splitting the show into two halves.”
