Dylan is the 16th most heroic Rock ‘n’ Roller

Dylan is only the 16th most heroic Rock ‘n’ Roll Hero, according to a poll in the current issue of New Musical Express, the agenda-setting Brit kiddyrock weekly.

But, considering the reader profile – Brit male, rockfan 15-25 year olds – Dylan’s position is a remarkable achievement, providing further proof that, of all the ageing Dadrockers, Dylan has gathered the biggest new youth market.

Not surprisingly, Curt Cobain tops the reader poll, with Pete Doherty in second place. So the poll has little to do with music, then… .
