Dylan (1973) - encore
Thanks to Martin Cowan:
“Also worth adding: there are no Dylan originals on "Dylan", and the version of "Spanish Is the Loving Tongue" is not the superlative piano/vocal version which was the B side of the "Watching The River Flow" single and also turned up on the "Masterpieces" set.”
And thanks to new contributor Jason Bennett:
“New subscriber here. Thanks, love The Dylan Daily. As far as the 1973 'Dylan' album goes, it is a nice collector's piece, although the songs on it were never intended for release by Bob himself: they were just warm-up tracks and outtakes scraped off the floor by Columbia to fill his remaining release contract. There are some bright spots on the album, but nothing really to go crazy over. Its rarity is more interesting than the actual songs.”
