New Dylan DVDs – encore
Martin Cowan writes:
“Your most recent post once more makes me wonder why the Dylan organisation doesn't get its act together regarding DVD releases of their man's work. “For a start, we could do with "Eat the Document", along with any other footage that's still knocking about. “Then there's the "Hard Rain" TV special, in my opinion Dylan's finest hour in front of the TV cameras. “Then there's "Renaldo and Clara", that weird, wacky monsterpiece, with absolutely scintillating live footage of the Rolling Thunder Revue at its finest. “Add to that all the footage that's knocking around from TV appearances down the years: there are plenty of fans who would pay good money for this stuff in proper sound/visual quality. You only have to look on Ebay for proof of the thriving bootleg market for this stuff. “Come on, Sony - it'll be a cash cow!”
