London Calling, but keep it quiet…
Thanks for Stephen Doe for alerting Dylan Daily to this news story, with the message “Thought this story may be of interest; watch out, Bob!”
‘Reuters reports that British anti-terrorism detectives escorted a man from a London-bound plane (at Durham Tees Valley airport) after a taxi driver had become suspicious earlier when he started singing along to The Clash's 1979 anthem "London Calling," which features the lyrics "Now war is declared - and battle come down", while other lines warn of a "meltdown expected". (Durham Police later released the suspect.)’
But why does Bob Dylan need to watch out? Because he performed London Calling - twice - in his London residency last year.
