Encore, encore: Under the Red Sky and Q mag
Thanks to Martin Cowan for comments on Under the Red Sky and Q mag:
“Nice to see some more praise for Under the Red Sky. As I've said before, I don't see any real difference between "Wiggle Wiggle" and "Yea Heavy and a Bottle Of Bread". But, for some reason, "Under the Red Sky" is vilified, while "The Basement Tapes" is lionised.
“I really do feel that those who complain about "Red Sky" were too ready to believe the negative press at the time, and just haven't listened to it properly. It is a great album and it's there for people to rediscover! “Re Q magazine: it’s well worth remembering that Dylan himself has very little input into this process. No doubt "his people" are just keen to make sure their man stays centre stage. “What would be nice would be to read a decent interview with Dylan, and I guess he will be doing some when the new album comes out - I seem to remember a pretty good one in Rolling Stone about the time "Love And Theft" was released.”
