More On: the Dylan coverage in the new issue of Q magazine
Thanks to Tom Townsend for his response to James Ketchell’s piece on the new Q’s Dylan coverage: ”Do you not think that there may be another reason for publishing all these Dylan stories? Perhaps it’s sheer coincidence that the news of the rehearsal for his new album came a short while ago?
“If it was purely for money-spinning, then surely Q would have been better placed to write about (the awfully over-rated) John Lennon - even the slightest story/rumour of an affair would have been enough to get lots of Lennon fans flocking to the magazine shelves.
“You may argue that all the pictures and stories may have been covered before in greater detail, but I fail to see why reading a magazine which gives a good snapshot view of parts of Dylan’s life is such a bad idea.”
