Recent Dylan DVDs
With the No Direction Home DVD now being discounted (down to £13 at the weekend), the attention of many fans will be drawn to the Dylan titles in the music DVD racks.
In addition to the official product, notably Unplugged, they will be met by an array of recent discs released independently of the Bob Dylan Corporation. Product most visible on the market stalls and in the stores where I mis-spend my middle-aged Saturday afternoons includes:
Two discs from (UK) Chrome Dreams label: * Tales From A Golden Age, Bob Dylan 1941-66 * After The Crash, Bob Dylan 1966-78
A trio from a US producer: * Bob Dylan 1966 World Tour: The Home Movies (Mickey Jones), 2004 * Bob Dylan Tours 1966-1974: Through the Camera of Barry Feinstein, 2005 * Bob Dylan 1975-81: Rolling Thunder and The Gospel Years, 2005
Plus there’s a 3DVD compilation of live performances, released at the end of last year.
Are there any more Dylan DVDs on sale in retail outlets respecting copyright laws? And are there any Dylan Daily readers interested in reviewing recent Dylan DVD releases?
