Two Dylan concerts, back-to-back: Bangladesh and Barbican Tribute

After airing on BBC Four, the little-watched digital channel, a few weeks ago, two Dylan features - A Concert For Bangladesh Revisited and Talking Bob Dylan Blues, the Barbican tribute concert - get a bigger audience on Friday (9 Dec) on BBC Two, at 1135pm and 1220am.

Bangladesh is an intriguing documentary on the staging of the 1971 Madison Square Garden concert, with some exceptional live Dylan footage. The programme is taken from the recent Bangladesh DVD release. Recommended.

Unlike the tedious Barbican gig. If nothing else, though, the tribute show proved definitively that no-one sings Dylan like Dylan himself.
