Live At Carnegie Hall 1963
Bernard McGuinn writes:
“Your story on Live At Carnegie Hall 1963 just shows the value of reading the Dylan Daily, well, er, daily! I bought my copy off ebay: wish I'd known someone was giving it away.
“This is a wonderful early ‘60s Bob performance. I like it at least as much as the Bootleg Series release of the ‘64 concert. I guess it must have been up for consideration as a full-blown release at some point.
“What an absolute treasure trove of great performances Sony must have stashed away. I wish someone could get their mind around how to make these available to the world while I'm still living.
“The performance of Weary Tune, which you rightly single out, is priceless. I've always thought this something of an over-rated song, but listening to this live rendition breathes a whole new life into it.”
