Where to buy Dylan product in London

Reader Herb Katz in New York, noticing that The Dylan Daily is London-based, and planning a visit, asks: “what’s the best place in London to buy Dylan product?”

Well, with a few exceptions, you can only buy the same CDs in London as you can in New York; HMV Oxford Circus has the best stock and the keenest prices. No shops sell bootlegs, though there are a few market traders selling illegal Dylan product eg in Camden Market.

As for Dylan books, after the recent closure of Helter Skelter, the specialist rock music bookshop, the best retail outlets are Foyles, in Charing Cross Road, reinvigorated after years of decline, and HMV Oxford Circus. When I last looked, Foyles had 19 different Dylan books for sale, and HMV 17.
