The Clash in the Dylan story

Anne Ritchie writes:

“Your comments on London Calling ring true. And I suspect that Clash singer/guitarist Mick Jones might well have been at the Brixton gig last night.

“In the Oh Mercy chapter of Chronicles Volume One, Dylan name checks Jones in very generous terms. Musing whether he would have liked him in the band, he concludes that Jones would have been
‘perfect’.

“It’s on page 192 of my paperback edition.

“Thanks for the fabulous new web site, by the way – erudite yet committed, the perfect combination.”
