Open Day ArtAt the Friends’ Open Day on 18th July 2004, children were invited to draw the Hall of Clestrain as it is now or as it was when it was lived in. The competition was judged by Trudi Hall of the Waterfront Gallery in Stromness. In a tough competition, the winner was from Kirkwall. (aged 10) Melanie's drawing is also available as a Save Clestrain Desktop Wallpaper - check out our Downloads page The rest of the entries: Trudi said: Trudi awarded first prize to Melanie "for confident and accurate drawing together with interesting background features – a lot of inspired work." Morven won second prize "for sheer exuberance, delight in colour and composition." Well done to Melanie and Morven. Thank you to all who entered.
